Google hires second Mozilla developer

Speculation that Google is involved in some sort of Web browser development is in full swing today. Beta News reports that Mozilla developer Darin Fisher has joined lead Firefox engineer Ben Goodger as a Google employee. Both say they will continue work on Mozilla projects. To be fair, many big tech companies have lent their employees to the open-source Mozilla project, based in Mountain View. But that will not keep tongues from wagging over this latest tidbit of news. In other Firefox news, the Seattle Times reports that DSL provider Speakeasy has become “the first broadband Web-access provider to offer an official customized version of Firefox.”
