Google has announced some nice new features for Google Talk, including the ability to transfer files directly to someone while chatting, leaving voice messages if they’re not there, and showing off what music you’re listening to.
File Transfer –This lets you send unlimited files and folders to your friends through Google Talk (see image). You can send a photo, and it will insert a preview of the image in your chat session. And it’s pretty easy. You just click the “send files” button, browse to file to send, then hit ok. The person on the other end hits “accept” and its done.
Voicemail — You can send it via Google Talk, and the other person will get it via email with a message attached as an audio file.
Music Status — If you’re listening to music while on Google Talk, you can let your friends see what you’re listening to by selecting “show current music track” in your status menu (see second image).
