If you have the Firefox browser, check out this Hyperwords plug-in.

We haven’t used it yet, but have requested permission to test it (you have to email them). Apparently, you just point to a word on your screen, and a menu will automatically appear. You can then search the major search engines, look things up in reference sites, check dictionary definitions and more. Here’s an example of how it works with the word ‘Robbie’.

We mention Hyperwords, too, because people behind it are headed out here to Silicon Valley. Hyperwords’ Frode Hegland tells us: “I am currently in Singapore but live in London and Patricia is in Mountain View. I’ll be moving early January to set up office somewhere in the valley, don’t know where yet.”
