deannoochpic.jpgIf you’re into gaming, check out Dean & Nooch @ E3, a blog launched by our Mercury News colleagues Dean Takahashi and Mike Antonucci while they brave the halls of the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2005. They’ll bring you the latest skinny.

In his post last night, Dean’s a bit scathing of Microsoft’s marketing:

…there was so much noise in the “Need For Speed Most Wanted” demo that my knees shook. The cheers from the audience seemed so canned it was nauseating. And how do you react to someone saying that the Xbox 360 will deliver the “Zen of gaming?” Peter Moore, corporate vice president, said that with a straight face. But he’s a marketing guy…

Still:

…Compared to the Sony press conference, I felt Microsoft’s was better orchestrated. Microsoft introduced games one by one, rather than in a big, long demo reel that Sony showed.
