Southern California-based Payoff, Inc. today announced that Eaglewood Capital Management, a subsidiary of alternative asset manager Marshall Wace, has agreed to finance up to $250 million of loans over a multi-year period, subject to Eaglewood’s purchase criteria. This arrangement should enable Payoff’s rapid growth to support the millions of U.S. consumers motivated to refinance and pay off their high-interest rate credit card balances. Payoff has raised more than $300 million in combined equity and debt capital since inception to build the future of consumer financial services and improve the financial well being of its members.
