Facebook, the Palo Alto social networking company, has gotten a lot of buzz lately. It claims to have wrapped up the college crowd, one of the more lucrative groups (long-term) for advertisers, and recently expanded to offer its product to high schoolers.
We took issue with Om yesterday for relying on statistics supplied by the unreliable Alexa to show that growth in Facebook’s user traffic was beginning to stall. But now Om has gotten more data to back up his argument.
Word is that Facebook will shortly open its network to people beyond college, and include Linked-In type features.
