Lots of action in the online photo sharing and services sector lately.
Shutterfly, the Redwood City online digital photo service company, has secured $20 million of a $40 million Series F funding round, according to a regulatory filing reported on by PE Week. Significant shareholders include Mohr, Davidow Ventures and Jim Clark’s Monaco Ventures (yes, Jim Clark the former Netscape guy; apparently, though, there is very little public about Monaco). The company has raised $90 million in total VC funding since its 1999 inception.
