Nintendo revealed more gameplay and details for The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, that includes a release date. The company previously confirmed it is going to debut this year, but now Nintendo has narrowed it down to September 20.
Link’s Awakening is a remake of the Game Boy original, which debuted in 1991. It is one of the best games Nintendo has ever made. I know that because it was my favorite game until Breath of the Wild came out.
In addition to the release date, Nintendo also provided the first details about a new mode for this version. Throughout your adventure you’ll pick up dungeon tiles that you can use in a Zelda-maker mode.
In the story, Link has washed up on Koholint Island. Link must collect an assortment of instruments to wake up the Wind Fish in order to get off the island. It even has some Mario enemies like Chain Chomps, Goombas, and Piranha Plants.
