VentureBeat’s new job board

Folks, we’re going to start promoting our job board more prominently.

Today we kickoff officially with a new group run by Rohin Dhar, who graduated last year with a Stanford MBA. I met Dhar during an entrepreneur pitch competition and was impressed. He took second place out of a group of 60. This whole time, we’ve stayed in touch, even as I’ve tried to work with different vendors. Over time, he convinced me that this effort can’t be fully automated. You need to have someone managing your job board to make it work.

Going forward, he and his team will be doing more hands-on promotion. We’ll do a weekly post such as this one, run a widget on home page (see lower right hand side), post the job listings in 80,000 or so RSS feeds, and he’ll even make calls to offer package deals in cases where it makes sense.
