We’re not entirely sure why we’re intrigued with kozoru, which we first wrote about back in September. On its face, it’s yet another new search engine with nothing to show for itself. But there’s something impressively quirky about trying to launch a search engine from the Kansas prairie on an all-Apple platform (the Apple part didn’t quite work out, after all).

Anyway, kozoru has launched a new home page that may prove interesting to watch if you follow the search space. As kozoru’s Justin Gardner explained to us last week:

We’re calling it “verb+noun” and we aim to do something very transparent and possibly even redefine what a company blog can be. We’re also going to be putting it in place of the site you see now, so when you come to www.kozoru.com you’ll literally get a blog instead of a company website. To be even more specific, we’re going to have videos (one or two per week) and we’re eventually going to be open sourcing pieces of our system. We might even post the patents we’ve filed on there.

The search service itself was slated to go live sometime this summer.
