Heads-up for Web 2.0 aficionados: Waxxi, a new San Francisco company, is holding a global interactive podcast today to show of its wares.
Waxxi’s podcasts attempt to allows interaction by as many people who want to — in the form of talking by phone to the podcast moderators during the recording, or through chat or instant message on Waxxi’s web site.
You register at the site. Once registered, you’ll get a dial-in number. Call starts at 10:30am Silicon Valley time (PDT).
Don’t know why you’d need this as an individual, but we can see how large companies might want to use this for wider meetings, decision quorums, etc. — though Waxxi says it is focused on helping companies communicate externally, with their customers.
Skype, with Skypecasts, already allows much the same thing for large numbers of people (up to a 100).
The 7-employee company, led by chief executive Tracy Sheridan, launched last month, and tells us it is in the process of raising venture money.
