It’s unfair to call Comet Crash a tower-defense game, as it’s more of a real-time strategy game, but stripped down to its most basic parts.

You have a base, the enemy has a base; build towers to defend your base whilst also building barracks to amass an army to send towards the enemy base. Meanwhile, the enemy is doing the same thing. Oh! And you have to gather resources by flying a ship around. AND the ship you’re flying around can be damaged and destroyed.
It’s pretty simple once you begin playing, but it’s so fast, fun and frenetic, that I would venture to say it’s probably the best real-time strategy/tower defense game I’ve ever played.

It came out of nowhere and blew me away. Give it a try.
