Ambitious satellite startup Planet completes $118M round
Today Planet announced it’s closed a $118 million round of financing led by World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation. This round augments Planet’s earlier $95 million raise — only $23 million of it is new. More, from Planet:

Interactions Corporation raises $9.5M after buying AT&T’s Watson
Customer support company Interactions has secured at least $9.5 million in additional capital. Interactions disclosed the $9.5 million in a recent filing with the SEC, and hasn’t shared its plans for the capital.
Airport-only ridesharing startup Wingz raises $2M
Today San Francisco-based Wingz announced a $2 million raise led by Florence Venture Partners. Wingz’s service can be described as: “Uber, but just for your ride to the airport.” The company aims to differentiate itself by integrating with your travel plans and the status of your flight.
Wingz says the new capital will be used to expand to 25 new airports this year — it aims to serve 40 in total by the end of 2015.
Augmented reality company Augmented Pixels closes $1M
Today Augmented Pixels officially disclosed a $1 million raise in a filing with the SEC. The company went public with the funding late last month after moving its headquarters to Palo Alto, California.
