PubNub raises $20M

San Francisco-based PubNub, a company that provides the infrastructure for devices to communicate in real-time (IoT devices, apps, sites, etc), announced yesterday a $20 million investment led by Sapphire Ventures.

PubNub said the funds from the round will be used to accelerate the company’s sales and marketing teams and help global expansion.

Your.MD takes in $5M for its ‘smart health assistant’ app

London-based health app developer Your.MD announced today that it raised a $5 million seed funding round led by Smedvig Capital. Your.MD’s app lets users consult their symptoms to “provide users with high-quality, comprehensive information about their conditions, possible causes and what steps they could take to remedy their illness, including when to see a doctor,” the company explained.

Your.MD said it plans to use the seed funds to further develop the app with artificial intelligence and machine-learning tech to offer better personalized feedback.

Big data startup Kuldat snags $1.5M from United Ventures

Kuldat, a company that says to be a “big data platform using artificial intelligence to streamline the sales and marketing function for SMEs and large enterprises,” announced today that it took in $1.5 million from United Ventures.

The investment, Kuldat said, will be used for global expansion.
