TownHog, a daily deals site powered by DotBlu, has raised $1.5 million in equity, according to a filing with the SEC. Based in San Francisco, TownHog is the latest project for the founders of DotBlu, a social gaming site that closed down last year.

The site offers one deal per day in cities including San Francisco, San Jose and Los Angeles. The startup has partnered with SFGate, the website of the San Francisco Chronicle, and deals are offered through both TownHog and SFGate. Today’s deal for Indian food can be found on both sites, and other recent deals include spa services and movie tickets.

Founded in 2007, DotBlu (originally called BlueBet) raised $2 million from D.E. Shaw Ventures and Maples Investments in 2008.
