Wanting what other people are wearing has a solution — an app and community called The Hunt from ShopTap — and now that solution is $5.8 million richer.

According to a Form D filed today to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, The Hunt-maker ShopTap Inc. just brought in a new funding round from investors that includes Khosla Ventures and Javelin Venture Partners.

ShopTap’s last funding round ($5.5 million) was only a few months ago in November, and it also coincided with the launch of its iOS app, as we previously reported.

The Hunt’s app snaps a picture of someone else’s outfit (such as a passerby, someone at the same party or office as you, even a model on a website) and, ideally, sends you details on the fashion items from other people hanging out on the app — “oh, this top is from such-and-such designer and here’s the link where you can get it.”

The form mentions that the company is hoping for a total of just under $8 million despite it only having gathered about $5.8 million of that so far.

The company declined to comment on the round.
