At the tail end of Square Enix’s Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 press conference, it confirmed the Final Fantasy Portal App for release in the West. The smartphone application, released in Japan on iOS and Android in February, is a compendium of data throughout the Final Fantasy franchise. If the Western port holds true to the original Japanese version, a playable minigame of Final Fantasy VIII’s Triple Triad will also be available with the app — likely the best part of the package.
