Kakao Games, which publishes the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Black Desert Online in North America and Europe, announced today that it will bring Bluehole‘s new PC MMO, Ascent: Infinite Realm, to Western markets.
Bluehole is the studio behind the battle royal hit PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, but the developer also created the MMO Tera, which has over 26 million registered players. So the company has experience creating multiplayer hits and online worlds.
Ascent: Infinite Realm features a steampunk fantasy aesthetic. Ships and flying mounts are an important part of the MMO, and it will feature aerial combat.
A beta for Ascent: Infinite Realm will start at some point during the first half of 2018. Kakao plans to first translate the game to English, German, and French.
