Borderlands players are going to start getting some better loot.

Developer Gearbox has permanently tripled the drop rate of legendary items in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Vita, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Yes, that includes the Handsome Collection, which packaged both games together for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

This adjustment is the result of an experiment that started on April 9, when Gearbox began playing around with the drop rate of legendary items in both games.

“Every week between April 9 and May 13 had a different legendary drop rate modifier applied via hot fix, but we held back on the exact details,” Gearbox revealed on its site. “We did this because we wanted to find out what drop rate felt right and didn’t want player opinions being influenced by the numbers.”
