Blizzard is preparing to take League of Legends and Dota 2 on with a multiplayer online-battle arena game of its own.
Today at its BlizzCon event in Anaheim, Calif., Blizzard revealed details about Heroes of the Storm, its upcoming MOBA. It combines many of the studio’s properties into one multiplayer action game with characters from Diablo facing off against characters from StarCraft and Warcraft.
Heroes of the Storm should enter closed beta soon, and Blizzard is accepting signups on its website for those who wish to participate.
As part of the big reveal, Blizzard also released a handful of details and trailers. You can check out the gameplay teaser up at the top of this page, and here are a few key points about how the game will play:
- Average length match is about 15 minutes.
- Rewards for taking down enemies are shared across entire team.
- Heroes of the Storm will feature multiple maps with different objectives.
- Blizzard if focusing on accessibility for all skill levels.
