Plants don’t just fight zombies. In developer Inis’s Eden to Green, vegetation fights back against alien machines.
Inis, which is best known for developing rhythm game Elite Beat Agents for the Nintendo DS, unleashed its new tower-attack game for mobile devices worldwide today. It was previously only available in very select regions.
Eden To Green is available as a free download on both Android and iOS right now. It’s similar to a tower-defense game but with a lot of offensively focused mechanics.

“Eden to Green is a tower offense game,” Inis chief creative officer Keiichi Yano told GamesBeat in April. “I’m sure you’ve played tower defense games before, but in Eden to Green, you’re not just protecting your territory — you’re actually expanding it.”
Inis worked with publisher Zynga on Eden to Green, and it shows in the final product. It has many social elements and free-to-play hooks that could drive dedicated players to drop a few bucks in the game. The studio is targeting a midcore audience, and Zynga plans using games like this to expand its audience outside of its traditional comfort zone.
