Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment launched Game of Thrones: Conquest, the mobile strategy game, for iOS and Android worldwide today.

Game of Thrones is one of the hottest media brands out there. It has already been the basis for other mobile games, including Disruptor Beam’s Game of Thrones: Ascent.

“The political maneuvering of Game of Thrones has always been one of the most compelling elements of the show, and now players can live out that fantasy as they compete with thousands of other people for control of the Iron Throne,” Tom Casey, vice president and studio head at Turbine, noted in a press release sent to GamesBeat. “Players have the opportunity to betray their allies and unleash their most cunning schemes to gain more power, which can lead to some very intense and fun moments.”

Turbine previously worked on the PC massively multiplayer online role-playing game Lord of the Rings Online and the licensed mobile game Batman: Arkham Underworld.
