LOS ANGELES — We finally got some news on Kingdom Hearts III today at Square Enix’s Electronic Entertainment Expo briefing.

Square Enix revealed the new game has a level based on Tangled, the Disney version of the Rapunzel fairy tale. The Kingdom Hearts series is famous for visiting the worlds of popular Disney movies, so it makes sense for a modern hit like Tangled to become a level in the third installment. A new trailer also shows series hero Sora battling Heartless and a titan from Hercules.

The video also shows younger versions of the Xehanort and Eraqus characters from Birth by Sleep. They are playing chess and discussing the merits of darkness and light. Subtle stuff. You can check out the new trailer below.

The last Kingdom Hearts to come out on consoles was Kingdom Hearts II for the PlayStation 2 back in 2006. Since then, the series has stuck to portable releases like Birth by Sleep on the PSP and Dream Drop Distance on the 3DS.

Kingdom Hearts III once again stars Sora, a human who fights alongside popular Disney characters Donald and Goofy. It’s for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it doesn’t have a release date yet.
