Nintendo showed off Luigi’s Mansion 3 for Switch during its Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) Nintendo Direct presentation today. It is coming out later in 2019.
In the new game, Luigi is invited to a hotel along with Mario, Peach, and Toad. Of course, the hotel turns out to be haunted. He has new tricks with ghost vacuum, including the ability to slam ghosts as he’s trying to capture them and a suction cup arrow he can shoot at the specters.
The original Luigi’s Mansion was a launch title for GameCube back in 2001. The first sequel, Dark Moon, came out for the 3DS in 2013.
Luigi can also make a goo clone of himself that can slip through fences and walk over spike. The “Gooigi” also works in co-op — another person can play him. ScareScraper Mode is a multiplayer mode that supports even more characters.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be one of the Switch’s biggest releases for the rest of year.
