Capcom is finally releasing a new Mega Man game.

It’s called the Mega Man Legacy Collection, and it’ll bundle the first six Mega Man games (all of which were on the Nintendo Entertainment System). It comes out this summer for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and a 3DS version comes out this winter. The collection will not include other games in the series, including Mega Man 7 through Mega Man 10.

The Legacy Collection will come with a new Challenge Mode, which remains a bit mysterious at the moment. It’ll also have leaderboards and a digital museum of artwork.

Video game historian Frank Cifaldi is working on the Legacy Collection at Digital Eclipse. In a tweet this morning, he noted that this was part of the studios new effort to present games in a manner similar what Criterion does for films.

Digital Eclipse told GamesBeat that the collection is created with something the developer calls the Eclipse Engine. While a Wii U version isn’t announced yet, Digital Eclipse says that it could easily be ported.
