Metroid is back … on the 3DS.
Nintendo just announced Metroid Prime: Federation Force for its portable gaming device. Instead of focusing on a lonely solo adventure, this take on the sci-fi franchise is a four-player cooperative game. Multiple people — all in bulky Samus-looking suits — can team on to take on challenges and adventures. This also comes with Blast Ball, the 3-on-3 soccer-shooting game we saw during the Nintendo World Championships. It is due out in 2016.
We don’t know much else about Metroid Prime: Federation Force at this point. Nintendo only shared a handful of clips from the game. With it not coming out until next year, the publisher probably won’t share many more details until later.
