Microsoft has revealed the final look of its Kinect for Windows v2, and unsurprisingly, it looks very familiar.
Microsoft hasn’t announced its price or release date yet, but it teased in today’s reveal that “as this first look at the Kinect for Windows v2 hardware indicates, we’re getting closer and closer to launch.”
The proprietary motion sensor shares the same upgraded hardware as the Xbox One version, which makes it more accurate and sophisticated than the first generation. Otherwise, its shell is identical to the console version save an added Kinect label on its top and the replacement of the Xbox symbol with a more ordinary power indicator.
It comes with its own hub that connects the sensor to its power supply and USB 3.0 output.
