Jenova Chen, chief executive officer of Thatgamecompany, took the stage at Apple’s event today in Cupertino to show off its new game, Sky, for the Apple TV (including the new 4K model), iPad, and iPhone. It will be exclusive to those platforms. Sky will release this winter, but we don’t know the exact date, price, or business model (such as it it’s free-to-play with in-game transactions).

It is a multiplayer social game that has you soaring through clouds. It looks like Journey, a previous Thatgamecompany title, but with flying. And you can control the entire game with the Apple TV remote.

Thatgamecompany has made critical and artistic hits, including Flower and Journey. Like them, Sky looks stunning (thanks to Apple’s API, Metal 2). It could be a big selling point to gamers that have loved Thatgamecompany’s previous offerings.

Those games came out for PlayStation platforms, which makes Sky’s debut on Apple TV 4K a surprise. Sky will be a timed exclusive for Apple platforms, so it may still eventually come to other systems (including the PlayStation 4).

Updated 2:10 p.m. Pacific: We originally wrote that Sky is an exclusive for Apple platforms, but Thatgamecompany reached out to us and informed us that it will be a timed exclusive only.
