MAID Oven is here to guide you toward gastronomic glory. Let this smart oven be your personal kitchen assistant, with its touchscreen display and ability to recognize both gestures and voice to tell you exactly what ingredients to use and how to prepare a dish from a database of crowdsourced recipes. It is aptly named MAID, standing for Make All Incredible Dishes, and allows the user to share personal recipes with the world. This campaign is heading for success on Kickstarter due not only to its innovative design, but also its reasonable $449 price tag.
StoneTether is the next entry into the crowdfunded locator tag market. With a minimal, stylish design, waterproofing up to 30 feet, and the ability to be attached or clipped to any kind of item, StoneTether is meant to keep prized possessions from going missing. When the registered phone goes out of range of a StoneTether tag, it pushes a notification to the phone and reports the location up to 500 feet. Additionally, if anyone else with a StoneTether tag and app combination passes by a lost item beyond that radius, the item will daisy chain itself to the other tag and push a notification reporting the location, meaning more tags, which makes items easier to find. Backers clearly need a way to find their lost items as they’ve already helped StoneTether reach 10 times its original goal.
Wine decanting just got a little bit smarter with the Sonic Decanter. This product decants your wine using water and ultrasound. To set how long it runs for, use the accompanying smartphone app. Simply fill the base with two cups of water, place a bottle of wine in the decanter, and push the button to activate. According to the campaign, this technique makes your wine, whether red, white or somewhere in the middle, positively delectable. This campaign has raised over $100,000, proving the demand for such a product among wine connoisseurs and mere mortals alike.
