Seibel’s “On Demand” biz guy leaves; launches open source LucidEra

LucidEra is the latest data analysis start-up, backed by Silicon Valley venture firms Matrix Partners and Benchmark Capital.

The San Mateo company says that it has an “on demand solution,” which just about every company has these days, so that is not new. Its leaders, it says, are veterans of Salesforce.com, Siebel, Oracle, Informix, Informatica, and BEA Systems. Here’s more.

Matrix’s Bob Lisbonne and Benchmark’s Mark Kremer are on the board, and both have open source experience.
