Broadband jukebox co., Ecast, raises $20M

Ecast Inc., a provider of digital broadband jukeboxes, has raised $20 million in Series C-1 financing to expand its sales channels and bring in more advertising on its jukeboxes.
The up-round was led by new investor Focus Ventures and included participation by existing backers Mobius Venture Capital, Crosslink Capital, DCM and El Dorado Ventures. Focus Ventures invested $8 million, said Focus General Partner Steve Bird, and DCM invested about $3 million, according to DCM General Partner and Ecast director David Chao.
