Matchpoint raises $ for business lead strategy

Mountain View-based Matchpoint has raised an undisclosed amount of funding, according to theAlarmclock:

The company has 3 executives on-board and is looking to hire more. Most of the execs came from Looksmart. CEO Peter Adams was CTO and Looksmart. Matchpoint sells leads to businesses by asking consumers to create a form explaining what they need and then providing them with possible service providers be it for Web hosts or for auto loans. While we know there is ample demand for leads and there are formalized channels to pay for them, we are not sure at this point that Matchpoint’s offer is of great interest to consumers or how they are going to get in front of consumers. But the company is looking to hire a marketing pro to solve this one.
