The Crunchies: blog-sponsored, reader-approved award show for top startups
Together with blogs GigaOm, Read/Write Web and host Techcrunch, VentureBeat is putting on the Crunchies, an end-of-the-year awards ceremony honoring the top web startups that you decide on.
Here’s how it works. We’ll be launching the formal nominations process on the Website over the next few weeks. After we’ve received nominations, we’ll have everyone vote on their favorite nominees.
The winners will be announced at an awards presentation in San Francisco, exact date and venue to be announced.

Eric currently covers digital media technology and business news, especially what's happening on social networks and their platforms. He also writes and edits stories about venture capital, and lots of other stuff, too.
