Nominations for Crunchies Awards now open

crunchies2.jpgWe’re pleased to announce that we’re now taking nominations for the inaugural 2007 Crunchies Awards.

Together GigaOm, Read/WriteWeb, TechCrunch and VentureBeat have devised the Crunchies as a way to recognize the year’s most creative business and tech accomplishments of start-ups and the people behind them.

We’ve created twenty award categories.

We want your input. We invite you, the community, to submit your favorite companies and products for consideration.

Read the the official rules and fine print. Nominations will be open through midnight PST Wednesday, December 12. Finalist voting will open Thursday, December 13 and run for approximately one month before the awards ceremony on Friday, January 18 in San Francisco. Make sure to grab a badge to put on your site to encourage readers to nominate you.

The final award winners will be determined based on the popular votes received through website voting. The award winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony to be held Friday, January 18 in San Francisco. Stay tuned for further details.
