Balihoo takes $4M for advertiser's search engine
When you’ve got an advertisement for the internet, how do you figure out where to place it? You might start with a search on Balihoo, a search engine designed to find advertising opportunities on the Web.
The Boise, Idaho company, which came out of beta in December, can also help locate ad placements in traditional media like newspapers.
Balihoo operates on a subcription model. Advertisers can use the search functionality for free, but additional features like campaign management tools can be added on for a monthly fee.
The $4 million funding was led by Highway 12 Ventures. Lacuna Capital, which led the company’s first funding of $1.5 million, also participated.
