Rocket Software buys software assets of Arkivio

Rocket Software, which is based in Newton, Mass., has bought the rights to the software assets of Arkivio, a Mountain View, Calif. company.
Arkivio’s software line deals exclusively with storage. Some specific applications include data archiving, storage consolidation, backups, and capacity management.
The company will join Rocket’s storage division, which already holds previous acquisitions Servergraph and Mainstar Software. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
