Opposing Views, a discussion Web site, raises $1.5M
Los Angeles-based Opposing Views, a Web site that aims to help people sort through major issues such as politics, global warming and religion, raised $1.5 million in a recent funding. Investors included the Fine Family Trust and Santa Monica Capital.
The site, which hasn’t yet launched, isn’t particularly clear on how it’s going to tackle such deep subjects, much less how it’s going to answer questions such as “Is there a God?” (which is one that’s already posted on the company’s site). Instead, Opposing Views offers this somewhat vague promise: “Opposing Views will help people make up their own minds about the important issues they face on a daily basis. Together, we ask the tough questions – and present the best answers.”
The site is still soliciting topics and early participants prior to its official launch.
