
The Mobile Shop Company is raising a $4.25 million round to finance its business of making mobile tool carriers. The Columbus, Ohio,-based company has already secured $1.75 million of the found from investors. The company announced in May that Hillcrest Management is a new investor. Others include Edward Guirlinger, James Marable, and RMMC Mobile Shop Co. LLC.
The second round of funding will help the company add 16 offices through North America and finance further research and development, said Marable, who is chief financial officer of The Mobile Shop Company. The company has 15 employees and was founded in 2004. Previously, it raised money from angels.
The tool carriers have been in production for two years.
