Mayfield Fund forms $110M India fund

Mayfield Fund has announced a new $110 million fund dedicated to investing in India. This is the Menlo Park, Calif.-based venture firm’s first India fund, and Mayfield says it will target mid-market companies in the technology, consumer and infrastructure sectors.

The team has already invested in six Indian companies: Tejas Netowkrs, Paymate, Consim Info, Genesis Colors, Geodesic Systems and Servomax. Mayfield closed its $395 million U.S.-focused fund in September.
