Streamezzo said it has raised $5.1 million in funding for its platform that allows mobile apps creators to publish media apps across many different mobile platforms.
The round was led by Innovacam , with participation from current investors Sofinnova Partners, Sofinnova Ventures, Qualcomm, NTEC and GET Valorisation.
Paris-based Streamezzo makes what it calls a "rich application software platform," a technology meant to make it much easier for a developer to take the code for an application and publish it across a variety of cell phones, including those running Google Android, BlackBerry, Qualcomm's Brew, the iPhone, Java, Linux, Symbia Series 60 and Windows Mobile. The company will use the round to expand international sales and marketing. It plans to expand its position in China and invest more in its product line.
