Pinkelstar makes it easy to integrate social networks into mobile apps

Pinkelstar is announcing today that it has created a platform that allows mobile app makers to easily integrate social networks into their iPhone and Android apps.

The integration of the social networks such as Facebook or Twitter is native, so that the app doesn’t have to disrupt the mobile user’s experience by opening a browser.

Alexander van Elsas, founder of Pinkelstar in Amsterdam, said in an interview that developers can integrate the Pinkelstar social platform in as little as five minutes.

“Pinkelstar takes care of the boring stuff so that you can concentrate on the features you want to create,” van Elsas said.

The benefit of making apps more social is that they can then be easily shared with other friends, helping the app spread faster. There are plenty of other ways to do this, but van Elsas says his way is hassle free.

The company started a couple of months ago and it has a working version now. It is gradually allowing developers access to the beta version of the platform for no charge. Pinkelstar also provides real-time analytics on app usage for the developer.

There are rivals in game apps. Aurora Feint, Ngmoco, and Scoreloop all make it easy to share apps with friends on other social networks. But van Elsas is focusing his platform on any apps. The company has raised angel funding and has six employees. Van Elsas was previously chief executive of Glubble, a kids safe-browsing software maker.

The company is talking to developers and publishers now and will announce them at a future date. But one developer testing the software is Jaap.nl, a Dutch search engine for real estate.

The first 25 developers to send an email to info@pinkelstar.com can get fast access to Pinkelstar’s applications programming interface.
