Pop culture and music site Popdust raised $4.5 million in funding Monday. The website covers celebrity and music news, and recently launched a music-themed retail store. New Enterprise Associates led the round, with participation from RRE Ventures, SoftBank Capital, and Project A Ventures. Read the press release.

Gemvara, a custom jewelry site, has raised $25 million in funding. The site lets you create custom jewelry pieces — rings, bracelets, necklaces, and the like. Awarepoint, a company providing location tracking systems for patients and assets in the healthcare sector, has raised $14 million in funding. Heritage Healthcare Innovation Fund led the round with existing investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Cardinal Partners, Venrock, Jafco Ventures, Avalon Ventures, New Leaf Venture Partners, and Top Tier Capital Partners participating.
