Streaming video service Hulu has revamped the interface of its video player with less clutter and a 10-second rewind button for rewatching your favorite moments, the company announced in a blog post.
Hulu competes with Netflix and Amazon to attract millions of viewers each month, so making its core player work better could help retain its audience. Now when you pause a video, the player lets you know what video is in progress and how much time is left. The player’s settings (pop-out player, closed captions, lower lights, etc.) have also been simplified by putting them all in a single place.
