A supposed Flickr slip-up has apparently confirmed the name of Nokia’s next phone.

According to the metadata of photos posted by Windows Phone manager Joe¬†Belfiore, Nokia’s next phone is the Lumia 1020, the 41-megapixel juggernaut that Nokia has been teasing for months now.

The two photos, which have since been marked private, appear days before Nokia is expected to announce a new device at an event in New York City. Something tells me very little of this was an accident.

As for the photos themselves, well — they look pretty good. Nokia’s focus on camera technology¬†was what made its PureView 808 so attractive, so it’s a great sign that the company is finally bringing that tech to Windows Phone. We’ll see for ourselves how good the camera is later this week.
