Foursquare’s check-in app Swarm is launching on Windows Phone

Don’t panic, Windows Phone users: Foursquare didn’t forget about you.

Today Foursquare announced that Swarm, its new checkin app, will launch on Windows Phone in the next few weeks.

The announcement follows Foursquare’s move to cut checkins out of its namesake app. Had Foursquare not opted to launch Swarm on Windows Phone, users of the third-place mobile OS would lose their ability to obsessively broadcast their location among friends.

For now, until the Swarm for Windows Phone app launches, Foursquare for Windows Phone users can temporarily still check in via the company’s eponymous app.
