Entrusting someone with helping you find a new home is important, especially since they’ll be taking some of your money in the process.
Trulia, which sold to competitor Zillow last week, is launching a new feature to its app: Agent Profile, which is exactly what it sounds like. Trulia is an online database for real estate properties and professionals serving buyers, sellers, owners, and renters.
Inside the app’s agent directory section, real estate agents can have their own profile page with pictures, information, infographics, reviews, ratings, contributions to the Trulia Voices community, and more. They can also easily update them to make sure their profiles are up-to-date, a bit like a LinkedIn for real estate agents.
In a way, this is an expansion of Trulia’s agent directory. What good is a list of agents if a deeper look at them isn’t available? Real estate shoppers can access more information when picking out an agent or even to get a quick primer on the agent in charge when going to open houses or when looking at listings.
Trulia actually launched its agent directory last summer and says it has more than 1 million agents in the database. The company also says it has more than 25.1 million monthly unique visitors on mobile.
Last Monday, Trulia and Zillow officially announced that Trulia’s acquisition for $3.5 billion, uniting their 83 million and 54 million users, respectively, into one online real estate giant.
Trulia was founded in 2004 by Pete Flint and Sami Inkinen, and is based in San Francisco. The company went public in September 2012.
