This Thursday, August 7, at 10:00 am Pacific, VentureBeat and New Relic will co-host a discussion on a topic that affects nearly everyone on some level, particularly companies in the business of building mobile applications that require the right security provisioning and support.

For this webinar, we have invited four industry experts to have a discussion regarding the latest malware and app reverse engineering threats to mobile app security. They will address issues and best practices from mobile app use cases that keep an organization’s mobile app secure, while preventing punitive lock downs that would hamper the user experience.

Today, we spotlight one of the four speakers: Sky Sharma, CIO/CKO, Information Systems and Technology Branch, United States Air Force .

Sharma began his career in the Air Force in 1997, moving from hardware specialist to chief security officer over the span of a decade, achieving his current role as CIO in 2007. Sky practices enterprise architecture to make technology decisions viable and flexible while providing value to the enterprise and incorporating effectiveness, efficiency, agility, and durability He’s based in Norfolk, Virginia.
