Autodesk’s 3D printing fund puts $10M in Carbon3D

Autodesk announced that its 3D printing investment fund has put $10 million into the developer of a 3D printing method said to be significantly faster than most of its competitors.

In a release, Autodesk said its $100 million Spark Investment Fund, which is aimed at “entrepreneurs, innovators, and startups who push the boundaries of 3D printing,” had invested the money in Carbon3D, a Silicon Valley startup that developed what’s known as Continuous Liquid Interface Production (CLIP).

South Korean online game giant NCSoft is investing $5 million in a new game studio in Vancouver, Canada, as part of an ambitious plan to move into mobile games in the West. The new development house, This Game Studio, was created by former veterans of Exploding Barrel Games and its parent company, the mobile and online gaming company Kabam.
