Marketing software created by former Facebook creative strategist readies for expansion with seed investment, addition of key personnel

ATOMIZED, a cloud-based, visual content marketing calendar for brands and creative agencies, today announces the completion of a $2.5 million round of seed funding, and two new additions to the company’s leadership team.

Co-founded in 2013 by former Facebook and Instagram creative strategist ChRiS Gomersall, ATOMIZED tackles organizational challenges marketing teams face by streamlining creative and written content into a cohesive, cloud-based visual calendar. ATOMIZED’s current client roster includes brands such as Arby’s and Home Depot and agencies such as Moxie and M&C Saatchi.

Funding was raised through individual angel investors with experience working for major players in the industry like Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter. The seed round investment will enable ATOMIZED to increase product marketing efforts and add to the company’s leadership team. Joining the ATOMIZED team as part of the raise are VP of Sales, Robert Barbieri and VP of Client Services, Daniel Hayden.

Robert Barbieri comes to ATOMIZED from Spredfast, where he served as a sales director leading the company’s sales and partnership efforts and handling key customers. For ATOMIZED, Barbieri will spearhead lead generation and sales efforts, working to expand the brand’s already-extensive client list.

Daniel Hayden, named VP of Client Services at ATOMIZED, previously held a senior product development management role at Oracle in the company’s Social Cloud division. Hayden brings more than 10 years of software product development experience to ATOMIZED, where he will ensure client satisfaction through real-time responsiveness and high-touch engagement.
