CreateThe Group, a firm that sets up e-commerce platforms for top brands' web sites, just raised $12 million in private funding from the affluent U.K.-based Hargreaves Family. Based in New York, the company plans to use the new financing to grow its enterprise-class platform, which already brokers $200 million in digital business.
CreateThe Group counts recognizable names like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Calvin Klein, the New York Times' style magazine T, and Juicy Couture among its clients. The systems the company builds include social networking features, advanced photo galleries and customer service options.
